From Afar
I was picking Alex up from Mum and Dad's today when I came across a pair of opera glasses that used to belong to my Grandmother and which I played with as boy.
I always found them fascinating in that they looked so eye like, and I was also intrigued by the idea of sitting up in a dark box using them to quietly look down upon the stage.
Playing around with them tonight it occurred to me that they could also express the feelings of timidity, caution, shyness, or simply the contentment of just watching.
So I had a go at capturing some essence of those ideas in this image.
