Redcurrant flowers
A rather grey day with a chilly easterly breeze, so ideal for catching up with some of the domestic tasks, one of which was giving the bathroom a really thorough clean. Even though we only finished it last summer, some of the paintwork needs touching up already! Pfff...
I wandered round the garden but failed to find any insect life. However the redcurrants are flowering prolifically which bodes well for a good crop - perhaps enough for home-made redcurrant jelly as well as the obligatory annual summer pudding. They're easy to overlook, but are really rather beautiful when viewed closely.
