Chopped Wood

I was looking for a blip after work and after the trumpet lesson and after supper was in the oven and this looked possible. I know it's not a great focus.

It's just the surface of a log from one of our chopped down trees - it was taken down in compliance with a neighbour's wishes..

Another neighbour wants to pay for our conker tree to be taken down. He's worried about the foundations of an extension they are doing next door.

I've said 'yes' but I'm a little perturbed - its a magnificent tree and our washing line is attached to it. Perhaps I could ask eldest son to stand in the garden and attach the washing line to him instead. He's tall enough.
