Prom Night

Beautiful dresses. Fabulous shoes. Limos a plenty.

Most significantly, our boys in SHOES. Shoes I tell you. All year we have battled against trainers and such like. Tonight - PROPER SHOES.

The boys kept theirs on. The girls soon ditched theirs. Including me.

They all looked fabulous. Just on the cusp of being grown up, but, unlike in previous years, still a hint of innocence and uncertainty about so many of them. Confident, but not overly so, and I think, for some of them, a reluctance to leave their time together behind them.

Good night, spoiled by having to take a twenty minute detour on the way home due to motorway junction being closed. Was a bit cheesed off.

Too late for a school night - it's nearly 1 am. Just having a peppermint tea and then off to sleep. I am in agony right now. Fingers crossed for sleep.
