Beauty
Today I walked with beauty,
We tip-toed through the gate.
Together there...we stood in realms,
Where soft-voiced elfins wait.
A rainbow crowned the firmament,
In shades of pastel hue.
And green grass spread a carpet,
So lush, and bright, and new.
We saw the hills reclining,
In a horizontal stair.
And breathed the scent of flowers,
That sifted on the air.
We sought the crested shadows,
From off the valley's floor.
And watched the craggy heights above,
Where eagles onward soar.
We felt the joys of splendor,
Where aspirations lurk.
And built our hopes eternally,
At God's great handiwork.
