The Old Wharf, Governor's Bay
Day two in Christchurch and it's been a rainy one. Undeterred by the closing weather, on our way to Diamond Harbour tonight (for the Camera Club AGM), Mrs H and I called into Governor's Bay, first to have something to eat at the pub, second to take some possible seashots.
I got quite a few I'm pleased with, but I liked the square crop with this one. I composed it in Black and White, but I ended up plumping for colour.
The bright lights on the horizon are not the setting - or even rising - sun, but instead the port, where round the clock activities ensure a buzz, no matter what time of day.
