French Ambassador's Residence

This elegant colonial building stands on the Chao Phraya River bank near the famed Oriental Hotel. It is the second oldest diplomatic mission in Thailand after the Portuguese. But the French first established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Siam under King Louis XIV in the 17th century.
