Day 12 Arrecife de Lanzerote

It was good to see land again after six days at sea. We went on a tour of the Timanfaya National Park in the south-west of the island.The island is of volcanic origin and this area showed large areas of petrified lava and volcanic mounds where eruptions had taken place. It was fascinating to drive around in this stark area.
