Fashion Statement

This is ‘Alfie’ who certainly doesn’t wear these sunglasses as a fashion statement.  His owner explained that Alfie suffers from Pannus which is a progressive, non painful, inflammatory disease of the cornea, conjunctiva, and sometimes the third eyelids.  Alfie has to have steroid drops in his eyes twice or three times daily along with ointment, attend the Vet’s for routine eye examinations and should wear these special glasses at all times when out in bright sunlight. Alfie didn't seem to be at all troubled by the glasses, which he is well used to wearing;  was not at all interested in me but rather had his eyes firmly fixed on his owner's friend who was in the shop buying lunch!

Today was full of bright sunshine but curiously pretty chilly in the office even with the heaters on!!
