Bound*ary on Leith Walk. I'm not sure quite why it's taken this long to include one of Leith Walk's iconic hostelries in my #leithwalkshops series, not least as it is an enduring testament to the love affair between Scots and alcoholic beverages.
Bound*ary (variously also called the Boundary Bar and the City Limits) is famous for being, well, on the boundary - between Leith and Edinburgh. The story goes that one part of the bar was actually in Leith and since Leith had different opening hours to Edinburgh that part of the pub could carry on selling alcohol later than the part in Edinburgh. There's a little section to that effect in this wiki entry on Leith Walk.
