Lonesome Pine

Another glorious day out with the camera, today I was on the trail of the lonesome pine. I saw this tree 4 years ago and photographed it but didn't use it for a blip but I have never forgotten it. Natures bonsai. A Scots pine, stunted by the poor conditions in which it is growing.

Our nice day out included getting some lovely shots of the sun bursting through the trees in Whinlatter forest, taking some shots at Crummock Water, having an ice-cream then taking loads of shots of Buttermere.

Strangely my shots of Buttermere were lacking the black and white spaniel I'm so used to seeing in that lake on blip every week!
