Belated birthday cake

My husband baked this chocolate cake as my belated birthday cake. Actually he made two of them. He followed the recipe for a bigger pie dish but we don't have that big dish so he made two middle sized cakes.

I had my new friends (our new neighbors) over yesterday. Good job I still had a whole left. They liked it very much.
