The Mission

Dennis Teeling, of the Marlborough Brass Band, set himself a goal of playing the "Last Post" at 6.pm every day for 100 days. He stationed himself at the Blenheim War Memorial never dreaming of the community's response to his poignant remembrance of those who fell at Gallipoli and in later wars. His 6.pm vigil has gathered hundreds in joining to remember our war dead. Tonight is day 98. On Friday, ANZAC Eve he will reach 100 days. An amazing tribute. Least we forget.
