Unexpected dinner guests

While having supper a Doe and her three fawn came strolling through and munched on all the garden outside the wall...not an unusual occurrence here ...Cheryl (the primary gardener always gets upset when her work turns into dinner) was less than pleased but I was unhelpfully amused until she pointed out that I could laugh now but would digging and replanting as necessary...I still laughed and said at least they joined us at dinner time...no sneaking around..I told her that I would post an invitation by the grape vines so they won't feel they are crashing...they have gotten quite use to us , these mule deer and if hold our hands to where our ears are they kind of think we must be kin with the large ears...or so it seems...
