Friends meeting house.
This Grade II listed stone building is one of the oldest in St Helens and is located at the heart of the town centre. It was established in 1679 by George Shaw of Bickerstaffe and has been in use for Quaker worship ever since. The sun dial over the door dates from 1753. The garden also contains a large glacial boulder, believed to have been deposited there from the Lake District during the last Ice Age.
