DIAMOND WEDDING PRESENT

Bit of a desperation blip!

This fine barometer was:

"Presented to
Mr. F. G. Hutton
on the occasion of his
Diamond Wedding
29th. Oct. 1939
by the employees of
F. Hutton & Son Ltd."

That was the legend on the silver plaque at the bottom. Mr. F. G. Hutton was my great grandfather - he ran a building firm & made the most beautiful furniture. Guess a bit of his talent was passed down to me.

Yesterday I spent putting in two mahogany reinforcement bars into the headstock/neck of a lovely 1977 Martin D 28 which had been broken twice before - quite a hairy job, but very satisfying. :o)
