Bird

Walking the dog this morning, this brave bird hung around for ages as I got closer and closer, does anyone know the species?  I know that it is out of focus, but there was someting about the composition - bird exiting from the picture that reminded me of a painting James did (and those stretched out wings) that I really liked and anyway it's Wonky Wednesday.
