Turnstone
We went to Titchfield Haven near Portsmouth to see a greater yellowlegs (American wader) that's been there for the last few days, but no luck. There werer some turnstones on the beach near where we parked the car and I couldn't resist capturing this handsome summer plumage bird. In this plumage you can see why they're called ruddy turnstones in America and elsewhere.
