A Day Worth Recording

Diggit

Another day of innumerable halves.

We'd concluded that digging over the remaining section of the lower garden was going to be a lot of work, so we arranged for the ManSpade to return today.

Also, I'd found a tree stump under the grass (and yet more building rubble, but that's not going to be a surprise any more. Still, we've now enough bricks for a couple of projects.)

What we'd forgotten was that we were scheduled for a B&B Consortium meeting in the middle of the day, in Upton.  Still, it was probably a Good Idea to break in the hottest part of the day anyway; though it did mean we were digging, forking and raking until it was, near as dammit, dark.

Still, the area is seriously sorted now. (as far as one can tell in the dark...)

In other news... the worst bits of the Coach House roof timbers are now replaced by the carpenter, and we await the glassfibre'r tomorrow to waterproof the valley (the previous lack/bodging of same being the cause of the rot).
