Garden colors

It's amazing what a few sunny days and a good soaking rain will do for the garden.  It seems as if overnight everything is budding and popping with color. 
I took a photo of these lavender flowers with the yellow of the forsythia making a nice background.  The weeds are also popping up all over.  It is going to take a full day to pull them all out.  Right now the wind is so loud it's making Dillon bark.  We had a thunderstorm earlier that knocked down 40 trees in a town just south of here.  We were lucky, no damage. 

Well tomorrow is 'Take Your Child to Work Day' and there will be a lot of happy daughters and sons that will join their mom or dad to see where they work and what they do.  Most companies are very supportive and even have organized activities for the kids.  My grandchildren are very excited.
