My decorator friend worked here in the morning, finishing decorating the summer house to try to squeeze a few more years of life out of it!

In the afternoon he took me to a local canal which I'd heard many people talk about but never been to myself ..  it was lovely and sunny and full of bird song. We saw willow warblers and yellowhammers among other things - and heard plenty of sedge warblers - here's one of them, hiding amongst the reeds.
