Siblings

Today, we walked across Boston Common and down Charles Street to Massachusetts General Hospital, where we met Mr. W's sister Peggy.  Peggy became a grandmother on Monday, when her youngest son's wife gave birth to a beautiful little daughter. 

I've been battling a persistent cold for the past two weeks, and really didn't want to pass any germs along to the newest member of the family, so we chose not to go in to visit.  Instead, we visited the MGH Museum, right next door to the hospital,  which was full of rather gruesome looking early surgical implements.  There was a beautiful roof garden at the top of the museum, and this is where I photographed these two siblings.  It was quite chilly and windy up there, but the view was great, and the garden was really pretty. 

We met our nephew in the cafeteria of the hospital for a quick cup of coffee and a congratulatory hug, and then left the new Grandmother to go visit her newest little one while we wandered home.  A lovely afternoon!
