Quite Quiet on Cannock Chase
Q is for Quite Quiet
I bet you are wondering what quite quiet means!
Does it mean completely quiet? Well if that means that there are no traffic sounds, no sounds of people or dogs, then it was quite quiet on Cannock Chase today. If it means totally silent, then thankfully it was not.
Does it mean fairly quiet? Well as we virtually had the place to ourselves and were pretty much in the middle of nowhere it was indeed fairly quiet. The silence was broken only by the sounds of pheasants, cuckoos calling, and various other birdsongs.
We had a super time. Each month we take a series of photographs of the same locations. This year's locations are on Cannock Chase. So 1st June finds us taking our set of photographs. As we did our photograph of a secluded pool a couple were mocking the 'keep off the ice' signs. I was able to show them the scene on January 1st when the pond was frozen solid! Hard to believe we've been doing this set for 6 months already. Where does the time go to?
No sightings of deer this time. Perhaps next time.
