What is it?

While waiting for a meeting to begin, I took this photo of the foyer of the Crown Promenade Hotel. I liked the weird egg like structure and clean lines with the wires.

It's ANZAC day tomorrow. A cold change is coming tonight but the BoM is forecasting a mostly dry dawn service. Good luck to all the attendees and thanks to the past and present service men and women.
