I need to get sneaky. My warmongering English class were deliberately avoiding the word 'war' - they used 'conflict', 'in the 50s', 'clash' and 'battle' instead...so I've decided to give them a vocab test, featuring such words as 'award' and 'swarm' and 'wardrobe' - and wait for the penny to drop...
