Flower Friday ... in red and green ...

Found this small plant with only one flower blooming in a corner on the windowsill in the living room. My eye was caught by the distinct colors in green and red.


We call the plant Christusdoorn. But I can't so easily find the appropriate English name, only the translation Locust. But according to Wiki locusts are "the swarming phase of certain species of short-horned grasshoppers of the family Acridida".

Anyone of you who knows the English name for this beauty?
