Cherry Blossom

This is my Morello Cherry springing into life. It's a joy at this time of year and each year I wage war with the birds to get to the cherries.  The problem is that morello cherries are not ready until nearly black and the birds can strip the tree overnight.  I've bought it, its own scarecrow, Patch but that doesn't seem to bother the birdies at all. At least I give the birds a feast once a year.
