She's had a good day at school from the sounds of it. She enjoyed making a bug house with her group. They are raising worms and ladybirds in their classroom apparently and this is a further part of the topic work. She also got to go on the gigantic KS2 adventure playground, which foundation only get to use as a "marble jar reward". She loved it. She's also enjoying the weather meaning they can go on the big field. She said she spends a lot of the time doing handstands. Which are now almost cartwheels apparently.

She was also telling me that school has a yellow and blue painted bike with their school mascot on, ready for next weeks tour de Yorkshire. She was pleased to go through a quiz she'd written as homework with her teacher and he was pleased with how she had worked out how to read the fairly complex chart information that came with the book it was based on. And finally, she was excited because she got a bronze and silver headmasters award for keeping the school key rules all last term. She's got her eye on the gold, for a full year at the end of term!

We headed straight from school to piano. The traffic sucked, it was hot and it took ages. We got there and her flipping teacher had forgotten and was in the city!! Katie took it well after she heard us rearrange for tomorrow and I promised her a babyccino.

She was bushed tonight. Maybe all the outside play has done her good! She's also very very excited for tomorrow's ballet exam. She has chosen new bubble bath for her pre-exam bath so "she's sparkly clean!"
