Bridal Wreath

Visited my friend L this afternoon and she was well enough to sit out in the garden for a while, plastered in Factor 50 and under a parasol:-)  As she discovered the hard way, chemo makes your skin extremely sensitive to sunlight and she has a peeling nose to prove it from an earlier sit in the sun:-)

We were able to have a good catch up and share my holiday photos, so it was lovely to see her again.  I didn't think to take any photos of her pretty garden, so had to dash out when I got home and take a shot of this spirea, called Bridal Wreath, which is always a star at this time of year.

The lovely weather ended with a downpour this evening and it may last all weekend, so the farmers and gardeners will be pleased.  The fields were looking very dry today, although the dreaded yellow peril seems to be thriving!

The Final of Masterchef this evening was excellent and such a hard choice for the judges.  The standard is going through the roof now:-)
