..and on a very beautiful autumn day a time to reflect on and commemorate the centenary of the landing by  ANZAC forces  at Gaba Tepe (Anzac Cove) on the  Gallipoli peninsula.
The suffering and  loss of life for both the Allied and Turkish fighting men was beyond imagining.

100 years later and Australians and New Zealanders make an  annual 'pilgrimage' to this particular place.
How generous and gracious is the spirit of the Turkish people who welcome them onto their land.
I wish that spirit was extended to those arriving on our shores fleeing conflict, torment and extreme hardship.
