... vs the tree

My neighbor wanted to keep on trying to cut down a tree in the front yard that we had started a few weeks ago. It proved to be a tough booger. Worked on it over 2 days, trimming branches, then making a cut about 20 ft from the top and pulling it down. Only it proved too tough to pull by hand. We ended up attaching the rope to a hitch on the car. It was pretty dramatic to see it fall. Feeling a bit guilty for taking down a tree that's been here for awhile and undoubtably has a bit of history. Will need to plant another one down the road.
