"Galpin's Folly", Dorchester.

This clock tower was added to Dorchester Town Hall in 1864.  It was partly paid for by Mayor Galpin and he also approved the design of Benjamin Ferry who designed this slender pillar addition to the Town Hall.  There was public concern that the tower would fall off, but as an information board states: "It hasn't yet!"
