King's Dominion

Today we went to King's Dominion - a theme park in Richmond - because the children were singing in a choral competition.  This is the third year the chorus has attended and the kids really look forward to the event.  There is also a competition for the band and the orchestra so there are a lot of kids from school who attend and they get to spend the day running around with their friends.

The Chorus did extremely well - so that was a good thing.

However, it was very rainy and cold - not the perfect day for riding roller coasters.  We did ride a small one, in fact, and it was like being stung on your face and hands.  My daughter said - I really did not enjoy that.

But, the candy shop did give me 1.5 lbs of fudge free because it is my birthday - and we got to eat some and give away lots - and that was quite fun.

I didn't care for my photos - but I am too tired to try to get something else.  This view is from the top of the "Eiffel Tower" and you can see the roller coasters.  Our favorite ride is the ferris wheel which was not operating today.
