Sudbury silk- handmade in England!

I mentioned yesterday I had some successful eBay purchases.. I was absolutely thrilled when I opened this parcel and saw the wonderful colours. These are offcuts from a gentleman who makes bespoke ties. He told me that he gets his silk hand woven by Vanners in Sudbury, and very kindly told me they have a factory shop, open on weekdays. I feel a road trip is needed! Have been experimenting all day with how to make millinery trimmings... Might just be getting somewhere!
