Kiltearn

We went back to Kiltearn today to try to find an extended walk that a friend had told me about.

We started out in sunshine. When I parked the car it was spitting with rain, as we walked it got darker and darker, I thought it was the eclipse again! My walking companion turned back at this point, but Poppy, Bud and I continued, we're hardy, a little bit of rain won't hurt us I thought.

Then the hailstones started to come down, they were so large Bud was really scared, we did turn round at that point, even Poppy was pleased. We ran back through the trees, along by the shore, up and over the bridge, across the grassy bit, Bud was way in front trying to get back to the shelter of the car as fast as he could. When we finally reached the car it was snowing hard. The poor lad was shivering. I quickly towelled them down, turned up the car heater and off home we went. We arrived back home to a welcoming blazing fire - the stove, not the house.
