Turquoise

Bleurgh, I felt really unwell today.  Had to give climbing a miss, and just had a quiet day in instead - other than going food shopping this morning.

I was pretty stuck for a photo, then decided to do something with my macro lens.  I came across this little stone when we were clearing up the other weekend (I'd bought it in the south west US many years ago, on a holiday with my family). I always thought it was pretty, but as ever, macro has revealed a whole new view of it for me!  I've always assumed it was turquoise (the stone, I mean - obviously it is the colour turquoise), but now I'm not so sure.

Had a nice quiet evening and watched Ice Age 3 with Tim - good mindless viewing for a poorly Saturday evening!
