What a fabulous day

I was up with the larks. Well actually with Adventure Girl and Gorgeous Boy who were really well behaved but awake before 6.
The greenhouse has been moved and it was absolutely the right decision. Claustrophobia abated. The vine is a bit out of shape but we think in time we will be able to persuade it into a somewhat less awkward shape.
And this afternoon a hop over to Sheffield and from there to The George at Hathersage for afternoon tea with our friends Su and Steve.
Back at theirs we celebrated their daughter's (my goddaughter's) publishing dear with Faber and Faber and while we were out the news that she has now won a prestigious North East writer's award. Look out for Chloe Daykin. A rising star.
