Hornby Castle

We had a lovely walk in chilly sunshine in the Howgills this morning and then found this lovely spot for our picnic. The castle is privately owned but open several times a year for visits to the garden? The weir here is on the river Lune, which has some lovely walks along it to be enjoyed another day!
