Water is Life

First up... I intentionally don't look at blip each day until after I have blipped, in case by doing so changes my mind. I've been reliably informed that a significant other has blipped something similar but I will carry on regardless despite having some deserving alternatives.

We watched Bear's Island programme tonight where he gave the rule of 3s, one of which is you can only go without water for 3 days. While not quite so critical, we've been with a water supply for 5 and have been lugging canisters of water home whenever possible for washing and flushing - our drinking water is always out of the bottle anyway. Usually with plumbed water you don't really have any idea of how much water you use but even rationing every drop it's amazing how much you go through!!

The problem appears to have been clogged pipes from the spring to the holding tank. The work to clear them then contaminated the water to the tank on Friday so it had to be cleared and allowed to settle but it was deemed to be acceptable today and the supply was back on. There may be some blips with the supply (not photos) in the coming week after further work but at least our own tank is fu' and can last a few days... looking forward to a shower instead of a bucket wash!

We've had extended power cuts, heating cuts, and internet cuts but this is has been the toughest. Thanks to those who have loaned us things, broken their things while washing our things and restored the thing so we don't have to do those things...
