Family Resemblance
The weather was lovely today and we headed over to the west coast of Kintyre to buy some bedding plants at Glenbarr Nursery. Now this is not your average B&Q or Dobbies Garden Centre, rather its a quaint little business with an excellent tearoom.
Spent the first half hour sitting outside having our lunch in the sun and admiring all the wonderful flowers that surrounded us. Then it was time to collect a trolley and fill it with our choice of flowers. Being Kintyre, you meet people you know and have a blether for a while. Then you get talking to Peter who is the owner and a real character. He has done many things in his life and running a nursery and garden centre/tearoom is the most recent. He certainly knows his plants and is a judge at many shows. Mrs B wanted some parsley, but not the flat leafed version. Not a problem to Peter who produced a few pots of the curly leafed herb before showing us his parsley that will be entered in competitions later in the Summer. What a great way to buy your Summer plants, learning so much of interest while you spend your money in beautiful surroundings!
Not a lot of blips taken today, but quite liked this shot of parent and child Greenfinches, taken just after I had put out some bird food this morning!
I think there is a family resemblance, although its not in the haircuts!
