Northern Lights ... not a chance

Any hope of trying to catch the northern lights in Iceland were completely dashed by 3 days of rain and very low cloud cover.... incidentally, this was the first time I'd ever handled an SLR (borrowed from friend)... this was alas, about the best shot I captured...

We all have to start somewhere.
