Collared Dove

On Mondays I always go Supermarket shopping as it tends to be one of the less busy days.  It's not a job I enjoy and so I usually have  a coffee once everything has been put away, and it was only by chance that I looked up to see this dove perched just outside the window.  They seem so gentle and have such sweet faces  -  I think it must be my lucky day because he was still there when I got outside with the camera. 

 I don't know where they nest now, as earlier in the year the squirrels destroyed the home they'd built in the Monkey Tree, but at least they can't be far if they're still calling in.
