In reality, this is a fine example of local pride & preparation for the yearly Allendale May Fair.. which is actually in June. They are holding a scarecrow or stig-crow contest in the village & this is a particular favourite of ours. The festivities will all kick off tomorrow, highlights include strong man & karaoke competitions!
