Potted up

Tonight the brownies did their gardeners badge with the help of my lovely friend Chris (who is a gardener)

We talked about weeding, tools (dangers and how to care for them), what are the best and worst conditions for growing plants and soil types

And in groups of 3 they each planted up a tub with 4 different types of bulbs and then scattered the kew gardens wild flowers on the top, we also talked about our jubilee rose and Chris pruned it for us

We watered them and then placed them 4 on each side of the church entrance and the girls will take it in turns to keep then watered etc

It will be interesting to see how they grow (and hopefully they won't be pinched as one of the church ladies came out and told us they might be !! )

The girls each took home a packet of the Kew garden seeds too
