Retail therapy!
Saturday
Roger, Laura and I went up to Paris this afternoon to do some shopping. We went to the beautiful and relatively new shopping centre, Beaugrenelle - it just opened last October I believe. Amongst the many stores is a Marks and Spencer, with a huge food department, though we didn't get to the food this time. It's located close to the Seine, and one bridge along from the Eiffel Tower. Having done our shopping we took the metro to Notre Dame where there was an organ recital starting at 8 pm. We had some time to spare, so went for a little wander first, picking out somewhere to eat afterwards - the recitals aren't very long, always over before 9pm. When we came out of Notre Dame, it was raining quite hard, and unfortunately I had foolishly left my umbrella in the car - it had been sunny with blue skies when we'd left Beaugrenelle! Luckily Laura had hers so we shared. We chose a Greek restaurant for dinner, but weren't over-impressed.
