Serendipity

Had Roger and Angela visiting today, and decided to take them to Hopwas to eat lunch at "The Tame Heron". As we were leaving the pub, a canal boat was passing - the couple seemed very friendly, waving to us; eventually realised they were old Navy friends of R&A's that they'd not seen in 25 or so years. All the coincidences that added up to us all being in that spot at that exact moment are just amazing...

They invited us in for a cup of tea, and ended up going a way along the canal with them, and then walking back. A perfect touch for the day.

The extra photo is of one of their terriers, who definitely thought he was in charge of the proceedings.
