King's Day

The king & his pint and his queen at the end of a day of celebration for his anniversary ~
about every 10 meters in Delft I met a couple like them here and I bet in every city and village they're found today:) as a student he was also called Prince Pils... I suppose he got a beer too after today's official party in Dordrecht

For 60 years we celebrated Queen's day on April 30th as it wasJuliana's birthday and Beatrix her daughter kept that date for celebration as she was coronated that date. Her son Willem Alexander was born a few days earlier than 30th of April (his coronation was on that date too)  and he's chosen his anniversary date to be King's Day, April 27th thus.
