Perch For Rent

Well, somebody once said there was a sucker born every minute -- may have been P.T. Barnum, I don't know.  Anyway, I fell victim to the sales pitch for this little gadget . It's a hummingbird perch. Sadly, not one member of the little hummer community living in my yard pays any attention to it.  The package it came In was decorated with "authentic" photographs of hummers sitting on their respective perches and the photos were even identified as to who took them and where they were taken which was apparently supposed to make the whole concept of hummingbirds happily swinging on their little perches more believable.  I've been standing by with my camera, but even though the hummers flit around the yard all day long, none will perch on the perch.  I should have checked the package to see if there was a guarantee included........or a hummingbird..
