farm irrigation

During my high school years I often worked for local Dutch immigrant dairy farmers. For many years I moved irrigation pipes. Even my son did this work for one summer on the same farm.

I have fond memories of working on the farm. Occasionally I drive or bike past the farms where I worked.

In this photograph you see the automated irrigation system on the farm where I first learned to drive a pickup truck in this field when I was too young to have a drivers license.
