Great egret Perth WA

Perth has wonderful bike rides, and today we rode up the Canning River to the Kent St weir. Lots of birds, people kayaking, school children on field trips.



This bird is familiar to New Zealanders as the white heron or kotuku, which breeds on the West Coast of NZ, having self introduced from Australia.
